As a part of our community out-reach, the AtomJump Foundation is in the process of becoming an accredited New Zealand education provider. We intend to offer a range of courses that cover both our own areas of the IT landscape (e.g. open source, "Safer Apps"), general IT accredited courses in New Zealand, and general basic skills (e.g. English language, mathematics).
We are in the process of establishing the relevant physical resources for this service, although many parts of the service will be operated online by tutors and their students. Our physical premises are located in North Canterbury, New Zealand, around 1 hour's car travel from the main city of Christchurch, in a country village setting.
Tutors are volunteers, and there is no charge for students who wish to attend these courses.
Note: Students who wish to study from outside New Zealand may be able to stay in New Zealand on a Student Visa. There is more information about studying in New Zealand on the NZQA website. Currently the AtomJump educational service is only intended for people physically present in New Zealand.
